My name is Gerald Anthony Granduke, I am the owner of Cold Hearted Custom Cycles.

YOUR NAME SOUNDS EUROPEAN OR ITALIAN WHATS IS YOUR FAMILY HISTORY?
I am not Italian, I am Sicilian. Born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey.

WHAT DO YOU DO AT CHCC? (COLD HEARTED CUSTOM CYCLES)?
I am the buyer, fabricator, mechanic and part time designer. We maintain a fleet of training bikes for Rider Education of New Jersey. We also repair privately owned motorcycles as well as perform custom modifications to any bike. We also specialize in custom builds such as vintage bikes, etc.. We do not perform any kit builds.

WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN INTERESTS?
Anything mechanical. As a small child my mother kept a huge supply of bandages around, I constantly played with my erector set. Giving a 5 year old a screwdriver, pliers and sharp metal objects today would be frowned upon. I was always intrigued with the sound the lawn mower would make and would often sneak out to the garage and remove the muffler. An idling 3hp Briggs and Stratton engine, was my first exposure to power.

WHEN DID YOU START RIDING?
At the age of seven my father finally broke down and bought me a mini bike for my birthday. I still own it. It still runs.

DO YOU HAVE OTHER INTERESTS OTHER THEN MOTORCYCLES?
Lets see. Motorcycles, Firearms, Cars, and Women. That about sums me up. Pretty boring. I know.

WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE OPENING CHCC's?
I began my life as a Certified auto mechanic, became a class A machinist, then a Certified welder and fabricator. I am also a certified Motorcycle Repair Technician. I have always had a mind that wanders, but in my early years it wasn't known as ADD, we called kids like me Dreamers. I do turn my dreams into real objects however. Which is how CHCC's came into its own. We see other bike builders opening catalogs and assembling bikes, doing wild paint jobs and even fabricating parts. Here we take old bikes and redesign them, making them into something else. Unique, yet functional.

YOU SAY WE, WHO ELSE WORKS WITH YOU?
I have many cameo appearances in the shop. I have a mechanic and a service advisor. I also have a long time friend who helps out tremendously. Recently we 've added some machinery which enables us to manufacture parts in house.(Literally) within a few feet of the project bike. Its a conveinece only an artist can truly appreciate So CHCC is a well rounded full service motorcycle facility, for bikers.

IN YOUR COMPANY DESCRIPTION YOU STATE WANNABEES AND POMPUOS FOOLS NEED TO GO ELSWHERE, WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT?
In my many years being involved with all types of motorized toys, I have come across many people who think and pretend that they are something more then they actually are. These people know who they are, they ruin their own stuff and they try to come to me to fix it. Its these people who need to go pay top dollar somewhere else. My rates are reasonable, my work is impeccable. I truly enjoy improving things, helping true bikers get thier bikes fixed and keeping them running, not just customizing things.
